Windows; 356 Home;
-This version is the most restricted version ever.
-Only browser is edge, and no other can be installed but everything else can be.
-You get 50gb free in one drive after sign up to your account
-Basic office from the cloud service, and other stock apps are preinstalled.
-This version support apps installation in the cloud, but it require stable internet connection. [With this you can use your apps on the other devices via One drive]
-You cannot change registry in any way, you get stock, basic Windows made for home usage [just apps and basic system settings]
-Updates can be paused, defender can be fully turned off
It's free with a 10$ subscribtion a month for a pro version, which became cut from the contents avaliable only in the full price box version, but you can use regedit and other stuff, and can change a browser.
It's still not stable because of the cloud architecture sucks and may be gone until release. The main goal is to say a huge 'no' to linux being a free system, microsoft want gain customers for this because old business model didn't work well, they learned their stuff with office 365.

Absolutely awful idea and anyone with a brain will still go with windows 10.
But i can see them doing this bullshit, especially since 90% of normal wont care.
I reckon they will continue with normals windows stuff like 10 still, although at a premium.
>>1327>>1332
Calling BS on the browser aspect. Normies love chrome too much, and MS was hit with anti-trust specifically for fucking around with browsers.
>>1334
They don't care about people who like chrome, they are making edge familiar to chrome users so they can spy on them through it
>>1327
there a source for any of this? sounds hideous enough to be true honestly
>>1334
Maybe, but times change and Apple has gotten away with a lot more when it comes to restricting what you can run on your machine. If they distribute the OS for free and allow other browsers which are really only forks of Edge through their app store, I can see them getting away with it. I don't think this will happen but we see as normal so much shit today that would have been unacceptable a few years ago so who knows anymore.
>>1327
i hope none of this is true. i really don't like the direction we took with internet and technology over the years.
sounds like bullshit you nigger do you even have a source? idiot
>-Only browser is edge, and no other can be installed but everything else can be.
What the hell does that mean????
>>1327
This is just gonna make more people migrate to Linux
>>2045
I doubt. Everyone who uses Linux on desktop is already here. Other than having Linux preinstalled on new PCs i don't see much of a chance for a significant grow.
>>2045
If Windows 10 and the aggressive push for Microshaft accounts didn't make them migrate, nothing will. It's unfortunate because there are so many muggle-friendly distros out there already but it's just not going to happen.

>what the hell does that mean?
It means microsoft wants you to use Linux.
It's called 365 because they make money from you 365. Tbh the design is a lot better than past versions of windows, it fills it's roll well, hopefully they don't have any less restrictive versions as it could work in Linuxs favor and lower the threshold for what causes a windows user to switch.
