Downloading games on Steam has got to be the worst experience ever. Took me about 2 hours last night to download CSGO, took me 2minutes to download Rocket League on Epic. Also just downloaded a 30GB game(Steep) through Epic and it took me less than 5 minutes. What a fucking joke Steam is.
>>1452

How did it take 5m to download 30gb but 2h dor 5-10gb ?
Also steam sells lots of shit and its very convienent. I dont see ant reason not to use it.
>>1463

It's because Steam compresses their downloads so much to reduce the download size which saves them on server space and bandwidth, saving them money. This means that it takes longer to decompress games downloaded on Steam. I have a 5600X so there really is no excuse here.

Get an SSD this isnt even a problem

>decompression takes 2 hours

There isn't even a full paragraph of combined text in this entire thread. Why is it so hard for zoomers to read?
>>1644

What do you mean, why would i write a full novel just for some post about steam ?
>>1644

I've never had problems with Steam decompressing for hours, fuck off Tim Sweeney
>>1452

I had this happen once but my steam experience has been mostly OK. Just use GOG?
>>1452

isnt it because it is installing?

This
Steam are too cocky right now

Why bother with online marketplaces? I get that you would be able to play your purchase minutes after entering your mom's cc info but what about the second hand market? Idk about digital but physical still seems to be the way to go when it comes to video games.
